NOT ME

This is a photo series I started in 2018, created independently using a phone, camera, remote, and tripod. Each image is crafted like a cinematic still, built around predefined characters and scenarios. I play every role in these photos, but the figures depicted are not me—I simply act as the performer within the stories I aim to tell.

Perhaps influenced by my background in theater, I am particularly drawn to the identities behind each character: their age, gender, profession, or psychological state. While each image is static, I strive to convey both the events leading up to the moment and the possibilities of what might come next. Each photograph reflects my interpretation of societal issues at the time or serves as a record of my personal state of being.
